Backpack Half Dome via Clouds Rest 1

July 24, 2014 to July 27, 2014

This outing is so popular, we are offering it three times! Experience a classic Yosemite Wilderness route during this two-night outing, where you will trek across the most stunning landscapes this park has to offer. This trip kicks off with a Thursday-evening meeting in Tuolumne Meadows Campground to discuss the following three days on the trail, safety and Leave No Trace ethics. Begin the trek Friday morning by wading across the outlet of Tenaya Lake, then make the ascent toward camp near Sunrise Lakes. On day two, hike to the top of Clouds Rest, and take in magnificent views, followed by a descent to Little Yosemite Valley. A Half Dome ascent is an option early on day three before ending your adventure in Yosemite Valley. A shuttle will return you to Tuolumne Meadows. En route, you’ll have ample opportunities for fantastic photography and encounter fascinating geology.

Experience package includes camping July 24 & 27 at Tuolumne Meadows Campground plus entry into Yosemite. Upgrade your package to stay at Tuolumne Lodge July 24.
